Find the right diet to meet your needs

I can't tell you the number of patients that have expressed jumping on a diet bandwagon or food train because they read or hear somewhere that "it's good for them."

  • "I eat a lot of nuts because those are good for me, right?"
  • "I've been doing intermittent fasting. I heard it's good for my heart and weight loss."
  • "I started taking X-supplement because I read it was good for me."
  • "I started doing X-diet. It's working great for my friend, but I haven't seen any of those results. Why is it working for her and not for me?"
  • The list goes on and on!

Here's the thing: it is not black and white. What is good for one person does not mean it's good for everyone. A lot more questions go into finding the answer if a particular diet or food is beneficial for each individual. I'm going to run through some of the common questions and my responses to let you inside the complexity of choosing what foods are "good for you" and why.
